Peer Review Policy

The Root Journals is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. Our peer review system ensures that all published research meets our stringent quality criteria.

Review Process

1 Initial Assessment

Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to ensure they meet our scope, quality standards, and technical requirements before being sent for peer review.

2 Peer Review Selection

We carefully select 2-4 independent peer reviewers with expertise in the manuscript's subject area. Reviewers are chosen based on their qualifications and lack of conflicts of interest.

3 Double-Blind Review

We employ double-blind peer review, ensuring that neither reviewers nor authors are aware of each other's identities. This maintains objectivity and reduces bias.

4 Editorial Decision

The Editor-in-Chief reviews peer feedback and makes a decision: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject. Authors are provided with detailed reviewer comments.

5 Revision & Resubmission

For manuscripts requiring revisions, authors are given 30-60 days to revise and resubmit. Resubmitted manuscripts undergo another round of review to ensure all concerns are addressed.

6 Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and proof review before being published online and assigned a DOI.

Types of Review

Double-Blind Review

The default review type where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other, ensuring maximum objectivity.

Open Review Option

Authors may opt for open peer review where reviewer identities are disclosed to the author upon publication.

Review Criteria

  • Originality: Is the research novel and does it make a significant contribution?
  • Methodology: Are the research methods sound and appropriately designed?
  • Quality: Is the work of high scientific quality and rigor?
  • Clarity: Is the manuscript well-written and clearly presented?
  • Significance: Does the research have potential impact in the field?
  • Ethics: Does the research comply with ethical standards and regulations?
