Submission Guidelines

Quick Start

The Root Journals welcomes submissions of original research, review articles, and commentaries from researchers worldwide. Please review these guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript.

Article Types

Research Articles

5,000-8,000 words

Original research contributing novel findings or methodologies to the field.

Review Articles

6,000-10,000 words

Comprehensive reviews of current research and developments in a field.

Case Studies

3,000-6,000 words

In-depth analysis of specific cases or applications.

Brief Communications

2,000-4,000 words

Short reports of significant findings or preliminary results.

Manuscript Preparation

File Format

Submit manuscripts as .docx, .doc, or .pdf files. Use 12-point standard font (Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri) with 1.5 line spacing.

Title & Abstract

Provide a concise, descriptive title (100 characters maximum) and an abstract of 150-250 words summarizing the research objectives, methods, and findings.

Keywords

Include 4-6 relevant keywords to improve article discoverability in search databases.

Structure

For research articles, use standard structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References. Adapt as appropriate for your article type.

Citations & References

Use in-text citations and provide a complete reference list. We accept APA, Chicago, Harvard, or MLA style—choose one and use it consistently.

Figures & Tables

📊 Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI for figures and graphics
📋 Captions: Provide descriptive captions for all figures and tables
🎨 Format: Use JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or PDF format for images
📐 Size: Ensure tables and figures fit standard page dimensions
✓ Permissions: Obtain copyright permissions for previously published figures

Ethical Requirements

All submissions must comply with:

✓ Human Research: Approval from institutional ethics committee (IRB/REC)
✓ Animal Research: Approval from institutional animal care committee
✓ Conflict of Interest: Full disclosure of financial interests and affiliations
✓ Data Availability: Statement on data availability and sharing
✓ Originality: Manuscript must be original and not previously published
✓ Informed Consent: Evidence of participant consent for human studies
